Easter Oreo Truffles

I’m a stay at home mom. That always cracks me up: “stay at home mom.” As if I don’t have loads of laundry to do, three kids to entertain, not to mention educate, meals to prepare, and I can just kick my feet up all day and eat bon bons.

Well, after making this Oreo Truffle / Oreo Balls / Bon-Bon recipe (pick your favorite name there), I might just have to take some time to kick back and relax…well, it will go on my list of things to do anyway ;)

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. Oreos sandwich cookies
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 3 squares Baker’s Chocolate
  • Sprinkles (optional)

What To Do:

1. Put your Oreo cookies in a blender.

2. Blend it until it resembles sand.

3. Pour the “pulverized” Oreo cookies into mixing bowl and add cream cheese.

4. Mix together until it resembles mud.

5. Chill the Oreo cookie and cream cheese batter in the fridge for about 30 minutes (or until a little firm) and then roll into small balls.

6. Melt the chocolate in a microwave until completely melted.

7. Dip the Oreo balls into chocolate. I used a toddler spoon to help the process.

8. Transfer the Oreo truffles onto waxed paper and decorate with sprinkles, sugar, chopped nuts, or contrasting chocolate – the possibilities are really endless!

9. Store these in the fridge if you don’t devour them right away.

With the Easter holiday coming up, these would be adorable…Easter Truffle Eggs…right??
